Bolardo In use

The project ”Bolardo In Use” was about finding new purpose and functions for the street bollards of Madrid, known in spanish as a bolardo. With this project I hope to broaden the bolardos role in urban life, by expanding their function and giving them more purpose and value to the locals. The aim was also to inspire people to see the possibilities in these mundane objects. Showing the locals that they too can change, hack or expand the value and purpose of urban space.

A series of objects were made that could become extensions of the bolardo and give them a new function and purpose for the locals. Furthermore ideas that weren't realized physically were made into a series of 3d renders.
